About the Artist

Scott Johnson has been teaching private lessons in piano, harpsichord & music
theory since he returned to his native Los Angeles upon the completion of his academic studies in music performance, theory and composition in New York City at The Juilliard School and Columbia University, and his private studies in piano, harpsichord and organ performance with renowned recording artists in New York, London, Toronto and Los Angeles.  While in New York, Scott worked for four years as an Instructor in Music at Columbia University. 

An accomplished keyboard artist with thorough training in Early, Baroque, Classical and Modern music, Scott has performed as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the country.  As a member of the California Association of Professional Music Teachers, the Music Teachers Association of California, and the College Music Society, Scott has served as an Adjudicator for piano and composition competitions and Bach Festivals throughout Southern California.  In addition to his work as music instructor and performing artist, Scott has received accolades for his work as a classical record producer, film composer, and theatrical music supervisor.
